“Casino Royale” Earrings

5 December 2006

The earrings in “Casino Royale” were very interesting, unique, & expensive.  So elite that I, the famous Sarakastic, could not even track them down, & it’s me we are talking about.  So I decided to look for some earrings that had that feeling, a white metal, a yellow or orange stone, & fairly large in size & oozing personality.  Usually when you are trying to copy a movie or celebrity you end up paying too much money for glass & fake metal, so I tried to find unique pieces in a natural metal for less than costume jewelry.  (Yes murano glass is glass, but it is neato, unique glass.  The third option is a genuine gemstone)

1. These are clip on earrings, but these Murano Glass Earrings are starfish shaped, which mimics the unique shape of the “Casino Royale” earrings. Plus, Murano glass is really neato (neato is the technical term) I will write about it next time.

2. Murano glass & sterling silver earrings $22.99.  I just thought these were a cool color & sparkly. Click on the picture for more information.

3. This is cool because it’s a set, (the more jewelry the better) & it’s a genuine gemstone (lemon quartz) with sterling silver.  Plus it’s elegant & captures the feeling of the movie while being timeless. The entire set is only $59.99 click on the picture for more information.

Thanks so much! You give great advice. I think you’re right, it is best to go for the feel of the glamor rather than trying to find a replica that is cheapo and will only pale in comparison! Thank you! :)

[...] A few months ago I participated in a blogging contest. As participants we were encouraged to read some of the other entries and link to them if we found them interesting. I found Sarakastic’s Gilmore Girls Fanatic blog and was hooked–not just because I’m a TV addict, but also because I enjoyed her topics and tangents. She has quite the impressive list of credits, among them are Bling on a Shoestring Jewelry and Putting the Sara in Sarakastic. I check out her stuff periodically (but always on Wednesday to get her side of the story from Tuesday’s episode). When my coworker tasked me with finding jewelry for his girlfriend that looks similar to something he saw in the new James Bond movie, I immediately thought of Sarakastic. She likes bling, she likes to browse online (because shopping is a hazardous hobby), and offers up her services as a personal shopper for fee. So I dropped her a comment, not expecting much aside from a few links and helpful tips. I was pretty amazed when she wrote a whole post on Casino Royale Earrings. [...]
